As promised in the previous post about the beauties of Tihany on Lake Balaton, here’s this summer’s key trend, the off-shoulder top. I wanted to show you how I wear it when I want to be ready for walking for hours and hours. I wanted the outfit to be casual but chic, and this one worked out perfectly.
The off-shoulder top
The high street is, of course, awash with off-shoulder tops, shirts, blouses and dresses. I picked out my fave based on the following criteria: fresh pinstripes, loose cut and an optional tie strap to hold the top in place as needed. This one from H&M ticks all the boxes, plus it comes nice and cheap. I actually went two sizes up to make it extra loose and comfy and it still stayed in place after adjusting the tie straps, yay 🙂
The outfit
Next, I wanted shoes that were fit for the long, long walk. After stepping off the ferry on the Northern shore of Lake Balaton – at the base of the hills – we hiked for a couple of hours before we reached the village. So I went for the basic chic and comfy white trainers that are sooo right with basically every look right now. This is where the trend-led part is over, I guess. With the jeans, I only aimed for a nice balance, so in come the trusty petite real straights. To finish off the look, I threw on the Nineties choker that complements any off-shoulder look, and the straw trilby for a bit of protection from the sun. Et voilá.
Enjoy some extra pics of picturesque Tihany and Lake Balaton, plus of me with a flower-laden bicycle 🙂
Till next time, beauties – may your summer be long and sunny.
Cheers,
Gabriella
