Even though spring is well on the way, we’ve had a few spells of cold days lately. I must say I enjoyed wrapping up in my short navy padded jacket a lot but this time I craved for something different. I wanted the perfect look to see me through the last of the chilly days. The checked boyfriend coat and the chunky knits are warm but light, just as great for the mid-spring chill as they are for early winter. Let’s give them a go before saying goodbye to the cold.
Balancing ideal and practical
Sometimes, when dressing for running errands, don’t you get the feeling that a fully casual look will just not cut it? That’s probably because you don’t normally wear ripped jeans to the office and also because you won’t totter about carrying your grocery shopping in heeled boots. Clutches are usually also out when you need your hands free. Which, I guess, leaves you in a pretty constraining matrix of what’s proper or practical. And predictable. And boring. So, here’s to all things stylish and somewhat impractical.
The minimal coat adds instant sleekness to any casual look, while the textured clutch spices things up a bit. The best thing about this kind of smart is that it’s still comfy and, should you want to turn it up a notch, you just add your femme fatale heels to meet your femme fatale friends for the happy hour – cheers to survival in style!
When flashlight hits you in the face… turn the other cheek!
